3D gesture solution for in-vehicle computers based on the MediaTek MT8665+PixArt PAJ7620U2

Pixart is a leading manufacturer of integrated circuits for CMOS light sensing applications, featuring low power consumption, accuracy, small size, and low cost. PAJ7620U2 is an optical array sensor to enable complex gesture and cursor pattern output.

Mobvoi defines Ticmirror as a vehicle-mounted robot, and chooses to cooperate with top hardware suppliers in terms of hardware settings, using a 7.84-inch large touch screen, equipped with the first MediaTek MT8665 in-vehicle dedicated solution, supporting 4G high-speed networks of three operators, and supporting voice global control + gesture control (PixArt PAJ7620U2) mode.

►Scenario block diagram

►Core technical advantages

Pixart is a leading manufacturer of integrated circuits for CMOS light sensing applications, featuring low power consumption, accuracy, small size, and low cost. PAJ7620U2 is an optical array sensor to enable complex gesture and cursor pattern output.

Built-in light source and ambient light suppression filter Integrated LED, lens and gesture sensors in a small cube module. It can work in dark or low-light environments, reducing ambient light interference.

Built-in gesture recognition supports 9 gesture types and outputs gesture interrupts and results, which greatly saves the power supply of the system.

Support rate 240Hz reportable gesture interrupt wake-up system.

►Solution specifications

a) The applicable operating distance is a trade-off between the LEDs, power consumption and background light immunity.

b) The maximum operating distance is 20cm

c) The operating window is proportional to the operating distance, the following is the current operating window in the 42° field of view lens design, in which the gesture trajectory must be recognized.

d)Gesture mode: Basic 9 types
