MediaTek's new wireless connectivity SoC Genio 130A (MT7933) integrates a microcontroller (MCU), AI engine, WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, a power management unit (PMU), and a discrete audio digital signal processor (DSP) in a highly integrated design that provides energy-efficient, reliable and efficient connectivity for small form factors, making it the best choice for a wide range of Internet of Things (IoT) devices.
The global pandemic has accelerated the development of digital transformation and intelligent Internet of Things. Contactless devices to combat the spread of the pandemic are also heavily invested. The Voice User Interface (VUI), which does not require contact with the hands or eyes and does not require eye attention, is also one of the contactless technologies that allows you to interact with your device through voice or voice commands.
MediaTek Genio 130A (MT7933) combines advanced Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capabilities with the latest voice processing and power management technologies to deliver new solutions for smart speakers, smart homes, home entertainment and automotive multimedia entertainment.
The MediaTek Genio 130A (MT7933) uses audio digital signal processor (DSP) technology to fully match a wide range of voice-enabled products.
Genio 130A's Voice Activity Detection (VAD) technology detects human speech and ignores muted segments in the audio. Audio processing is performed only after human speech is detected for low-power purposes. Whether it's a single microphone with a simplified design, or multiple matrix microphones. The Genio 130A is capable of acoustic echo cancelling (AEC) and far-field processing to enhance speech. Wake word detection, such as 'Hey Siri', is then divided into two types of speech recognition scenarios. In addition to the familiar cloud voice processing, such as AIA (AVS Integration for AWS IoT).
The Genio 130A also supports native voice commands, via predefined voice commands. In the case of no network connection and network latency, it is easy to control the device through voice commands. Such as: control the light, volume, play, pause music, front and back audio control.
Genio 130A (MT7933) demo, enter CLI Commands via console to enable DSP and VA to demo local voice:
1. Input "aud_dbg cset ADSP_Enable 1 1"
2. Input "aud_dbg va -v 1"
Genio 130A local voice commands demo :
“Hey, Siri”
“Open Camera”
“Take a picture”
“Play music”
“Next Song”
