MediaTek MT6625L is a 4-in-1 connectivity chip that contains a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi/Bluetooth transceiver front end, a 5GHz Wi-Fi transceiver front end, a GPS receiver front end, and a complete FM receiver, as well as a passive device (IPD) in an integrated QFN40 package. A simplified block diagram and how to use the MT6625L, always-on, low-dropout regulator (ALDO) to supply the supply voltage to the top control logic in the MT6625L is shown in the error. The top-level control logic controls each subsystem independently. Each subsystem also has a dedicated LDO. A thermal sensor and a low-speed ADC (analog-to-digital converter) are provided to monitor the temperature changes of the MT6625L. MT6625L does not have a dedicated crystal oscillator. It uses an external (possibly temperature-compensated) oscillator or a clock source from a companion chip in the platform, such as the MT6166. MT6625L Block Diagram: Peculiarity: features 1.MT6625L is a 4-in-1 connected RF chip that contains a front end of a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth transceiver, a 5GHz Wi-Fi transceiver, a GPS receiver and an FM receiver. 2. Due to the WiFi/Bluetooth/GPS external BoM (bill of materials) in 40-pin QFN package, MT6625L support for integrated passives, thus saving PCB size and cost. 3. Support GPS external LNA. 4. IPD Options: MT6625L offers front-end component flexibility for a variety of filtering/suppression requirements, multiple antenna configurations such as 2 antennas and 3 antennas. Its sister product, the MT6625, offers a higher level of integration by integrating a 2.4G/5G duplexer. Wi-Fi / BT Wi-Fi - Dual-band (2.4GHz and 5GHz) single-stream 802.11 a/b/g/n RF - Dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth TDD operation as well as single-antenna topologies are supported by integrated TR switches, baluns, and duplexers -Integrated 2.4GHz Power Amplifier, maximum 20dBm CCK output power and 5GHz PA 17dBm OFDM 54Mbps output power - Typical Rx sensitivity of the accompanying chip modem: -76.5dBm in 11g 54Mbps mode and 11a54Mbps mode - Integrated power detector to support Tx power control for each packet - Built-in calibration for PVT variations - Fully integrated synthesizer with support for multiple crystal clock frequencies |
